What do you call a word which by its sound implies the opposite of the concept/object it is used to signify - the other end of the onomatopoeic scale?
For example, “degustation” means “a careful, appreciative tasting of various foods” and has a perfectly valid etymological origin (de+gustare) but to a native English speaker who had no prior knowledge of the word or its Latin antecedent has associations with the concept of “disgust”.

Mobile reception is already available on all overground rail services (including the above-ground portions of the Tube network) and on buses, and even when reception is unavailable people still use their smartphones to play games and listen to music (and sometimes just hit ‘refresh’ repeatedly until they’re out of a tunnel), so I don’t think the comment about increasing the risk of mugging by encouraging people to have their phones on display holds much weight.
Polling ‘Britons’ instead of Londoners seems a little misguided as it doesn’t make sense to allow people who have no first-hand experience of everyday life in the city influence the facilities provided on its transport system.
I am SO in love with this biker coat from Burberry Prorsum’s SS11 collection - I’ve wanted a biker coat, rather than jacket, for years but have never managed to find one that’s really taken my fancy. Of course, when I finally find the coat of my dreams, it’s £2595. Belated Christmas present, anyone? ;)
